Women Asia Cup 2022: भारतीय महिला संघ आज आशिया चषकातील त्यांचा दुसरा सामना मलेशियाशी (India Women vs Malaysia Women) खेळणार आहे. भारतानं सहा वेळा चॅम्पियन ठरलेल्या श्रीलंकेच्या संघाचा पराभव करत या स्पर्धेची विजयानं सुरुवात केली. श्रीलंकाविरुद्ध सामन्यात भारताची स्टार ऑलराऊंडर जेमिमा रोड्रिग्सनं (Jemimah Rodrigues) महत्वाची भूमिका बजवली. जेमिमीच्या 76 धावांच्या जोरावर भारतानं श्रीलंकेसमोर 150 धावांचं लक्ष्य ठेवलं होतं. या लक्ष्याचा पाठलाग करताना श्रीलंकेचा संघ 109 धावांवर ढेर झाला. भारतानं हा सामना 41 धावांनी जिंकला. या सामन्यात भारताची सलामीवीर स्मृती मानधना (Smriti Mandhana) आणि शेफाली वर्माला (Shafali Verma) काही खास कामगिरी करता आली नाही. मलेशियाविरुद्ध आज खेळल्या जाणाऱ्या टी-20 सामन्यात स्मृती मानधना आणि शेफाली वर्माकडून मोठ्या खेळीची अपेक्षा केली जात आहे.
